MORE THAN A
SHELTER — AN
URBAN NODE

Skynet Security smart bus shelters turn every waiting point into an active center of citizen services: information, connectivity, security and advertising — all integrated, all connected.

Unlike a conventional shelter that only provides a roof, our solution is managed remotely from a central cloud platform. The municipality sees in real time the status of each unit, programs screen content, and receives automatic maintenance alerts.

| For Municipalities and Government

INFRASTRUCTURE
THAT PAYS FOR ITSELF

The digital screen on each shelter is an out-of-home advertising asset. Municipalities can sell space to brands, retail chains or government programs — and recover the investment without impacting the operating budget.

Advertising Revenue

A shelter on a primary avenue generates between $3,000 and $15,000 MXN/month in digital advertising space. With a network of 50 shelters: up to $750,000 MXN/month in additional revenue for the municipality.

Natural advertising clients: retail chains, pharmacies, delivery services, events, government programs, institutional campaigns.

Public Safety

Integrated PTZ cameras connect directly to the municipality's or borough's C4/C5 command center. SOS button with immediate response. Continuous 24/7 recording. Documented reduction of incidents in covered areas.

Integration: compatible with CDMX surveillance platforms, C5, state C4 and proprietary municipal security systems.

Open Environmental Data

Each shelter contributes air quality, temperature, noise and pollution data to the environmental monitoring network. Real-time information for environmental agencies and citizen transparency platforms.

Added value: SDG compliance (UN), municipal sustainability reports and resilient city programs.

| Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY
ASKED

What technologies does a smart bus shelter integrate? +
A smart shelter integrates: high-brightness LED or LCD screen for advertising and real-time route information, PTZ camera with 20x zoom, public 4G/5G WiFi, USB 24W and wireless 20W charging, PM2.5/PM10, temperature, noise and pressure sensors, SOS panic button with IP speaker, efficient LED lighting and — optionally — 7KW EV charging and solar panels for off-grid operation. All managed from a cloud platform.
How can a municipality generate revenue from smart shelters? +
Digital screens allow the municipality to sell programmable advertising space in real time. A shelter on a high-traffic avenue can generate between $3,000 and $15,000 MXN/month. In networks of 20 to 50 shelters, accumulated revenue amortizes the investment in 18 to 36 months. The municipality can manage contracts directly or through an out-of-home advertising concessionaire.
How long does installation of a shelter network take? +
Manufacturing takes 6 to 12 weeks from design approval. Field installation of 10 to 50 shelters takes an additional 4 to 10 weeks. An electrical supply point is required at each location (or solar off-grid configuration). Skynet Security assists with permits from the local authority and coordinates with the Public Works Secretariat when applicable.
Do smart shelters work without grid electricity? +
Yes. The solar off-grid version includes a photovoltaic panel of up to 500W and a LiFePO4 battery of 833Wh, enough to operate the screen, lighting, WiFi and sensors completely autonomously. Ideal for peripheral routes, rural areas or projects where eliminating electricity operating costs is a priority.
